    Global Rules Empty Global Rules

Post by LostLizardGaming Sun Aug 27, 2017 11:29 pm

These are the rules that everybody who participates in SEDA must follow at all times. These rules are in place to reduce conflicts between members as much as possible and to make sure that everyone can have as much fun as possible, cause that's what we're all about.

    1. Respect everyone

To respect everyone means to treat everyone equally and with the highest standard of respect. Remember, it is never a joke if a person is negatively affected. This also means that racism, sexism, etc are not tolerated at all. Everybody has the right to be who they are regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, race, or social status. Also, any form of discrimination and/or racism will not be tolerated.

    2. Keep it PG-13.

Swearing is 100% okay as long as the terms used are not racist or directed to any person. An example of swear words that are not okay are words like the 'n word' (both the one ending in 'a' and the one ending in 'er') and any other words used to offend another person. As long as it is used with maturity and it does not offend or hurt anybody, swearing is a-okay.

    3. Keep it relevant.

It is very important to stay relevant in all posts. If a post is placed in an incorrect category, it will be removed and the person who posted it will be notified that his/her post has been removed and what the correct category would have been. If you violate this rule you will not be subject to the standard punishments and penalties, and you will only be issued a warning. If there is a noticeable pattern you will be subject to the standard punishments and penalties at the discretion of the leadership staff.

    4. Punishments and Penalties

For any crime there are certain levels of punishment based on the number of offenses, based on one particular rule violation, meaning that if someone were to violate one rule, then a week later violate a different rule, the instance that happened later would only be considered a first offense unless the violations ocurred within 3 days of each other.
First offense: Warning - This is the one and only warning you will get. This will likely also involve a discussion with one or more of the leadership staff where we will work with you to make sure it doesn't happen again
Second offense: Temporary ban (3 days) - If you are given a temporary ban, you will not be able to post on the forum. Furthermore, if you interacting with other members while the ban is active, you will be permanently banned and the person whom you are interacting with will also receive a 3 day ban.
Third offense: Temporary ban (10 days) - Like with the 3 day ban, if you are caught interacting with other members of SEDA, you will both receive a punishment.
Fourth offense: Permanent Ban - We really hate losing a member, so please do not bring us to this point.

    5. Have common sense.

If you believe something is wrong, don't do it.

    Remember, these rules apply EVERYWHERE.

    Conclusion:
I know that these rules sound very strict, but they are only in place to ensure that the community has the best fun possible, and remember, it is not a community without YOU.
